Start with a home research brief

Make daily needs visible before you compare projects.

Before viewing a project, write a short brief describing how the home would need to work for your household. Keep that brief separate from marketing material so it remains a useful reference as you research.

Describe an ordinary day

Think through commuting, working at home, visitors, storage and any accessibility needs. List the requirements you cannot readily change later and the preferences you could trade off. Avoid treating every desirable feature as essential.

Organise the unanswered questions

Create separate sections for the home, its surroundings, the purchase process and your personal eligibility or financing. Keep facts and assumptions distinct. Record the source and date beside important information.

Keep the brief useful
