For a household already travelling through Lakeside, Lucerne Grand raises a concrete possibility: a new home tied to a station it uses every week. That is a more useful starting point than a sweeping prediction about what Jurong might become.

CDL opened previews on 18 September 2026 and says sales bookings will begin on Saturday, 3 October. The distinction matters: viewing a showflat during the preview is not the same as buying from an already-open sales release.

The development in brief

According to CDL’s 16 September announcement, Lucerne Grand comprises 570 homes in five 17-storey towers at Lakeside Drive, directly linked to Lakeside MRT on the East-West Line. Its planned ground-floor commercial component, Lucerne Galleria, includes a supermarket and food, beverage and retail space.

CDL announced these starting points:

  • Two bedrooms, 624 sq ft: from S$1.498 million.
  • Three bedrooms, 883 sq ft: from S$1.988 million.
  • Four-bedroom premium, 1,152 sq ft: from S$2.788 million.

These are launch figures announced on 16 September, not live quotations or evidence that a particular unit remains available.

What the MRT connection could change

Start with two actual journeys: the trip made most often and the trip that causes the most friction. For one household that might be the office and a grandparent’s home; for another, school pickup and an evening activity.

An MRT connection can make a car-light routine more plausible, but the useful measure is the complete journey. Test the station exits, crossings and final leg to your destination. At the gallery, ask to see the route from the proposed residential entrance to the station on the site plan, including which parts will be sheltered.

Retail below a home is another trade-off. Groceries close at hand may be welcome; proximity to public circulation, deliveries or commercial equipment deserves attention when choosing a stack. Ask where those functions sit relative to the home you are considering.

Read the floor plan at ordinary-life scale

Use the 883 sq ft three-bedroom starting example as a prompt, not a verdict on every three-bedroom layout. Sketch where your dining table, work desk, laundry and everyday storage would go. If a bedroom must serve as both a study and a guest room, test both arrangements.

Then compare two actual units. A higher floor, different orientation or alternative plan may matter more to your routine than moving from an entry price to an unspecified “premium” option. Record the quoted total price beside the exact unit and plan.

Make the preview visit do two jobs

CDL lists its sales gallery along Yuan Ching Road, next to Lakeside MRT, with daily hours of 10am–7pm. Confirm an appointment and current arrangements through the developer before travelling.

Pair the gallery visit with time around the station and neighbourhood at an hour you would normally be there. Keep your own observations separate from renderings and future plans. The decision is whether a particular home works for your life at its actual price—not whether a district-wide growth story sounds attractive.
